After having some trouble with some of our LiFePO4 batteries not balancing properly, we've looked at options that can help us out. Most BMS are passive BMS meaning that they only balance your cells whilst the cells are charging or discharging. This is certainly the case with Overkill BMS, Daly BMS & 123 Smart BMS.
We're going to try an active balancer that will balance the cells regardless of whether they're being charged or not. We'll keep you posted on the results.
