The Shem Talisman.
Angels are available to fight for you. The LORD is mighty to save, and gracious to those who hearken to His voice.
God is a rewarder of those who love Him. But those who pay back good with evil make themselves an enemy to God. You can ask the LORD for justice from those who cast you out, who withhold your possession, who take away what the LORD has given you for an inheritance. The LORD will judge them. Although you have no might against a great company that comes against you, and although you do not know what to do, when you keep your eyes upon the LORD, His is the victory.
Face east and say.
Kosu hariym tzilah va'a na feha arzey-El.
The hills are covered with the shadow of it, the shadow of the eagle's wings covering us, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars. I am a bough of a goodly tree, and I shall rejoice.
Sing or say the name ARE-ZELL, ARE-ZELL, ARE-ZELL.
Say the opening phrase: NAH-KAH-EE-AH-OH-EH.
Quietly let your eyes pass over the Shem Talisman. Scan over the shapes of the letters and lines. Take a deep breath and imagine the sun, and feel its mighty power. Imagine the sun shrinking down, and as it shrinks it moves toward your chest. It settles in your heart as a tiny, brilliant star. Remain aware of the star as you gaze at the talisman. Imagine that the sky above you is filled with powerful storm clouds, ready to strike lightning. Look at the talisman again and imagine that the image of the talisman moves into your heart. Know that the LORD is faithful to deliver you.
Gaze at the talisman again. Think of how you need to love the LORD with all your heart, might and strength.
Think,
And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children. Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, came the spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation; and he said: 'Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat: thus saith the LORD unto you: Fear not ye, neither be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. To-morrow go ye down against them; behold, they come up by the ascent of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the valley, before the wilderness of Jeruel. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle; set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem; fear not, nor be dismayed; to-morrow go out against them; for the LORD is with you.'
Say, LORD, cause your face to shine, that the righteous may flourish.
AH-RAH-REE-TAH.
It is done.
יג וְכֹל-יְהוּדָה--עֹמְדִים, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה; גַּם-טַפָּם, נְשֵׁיהֶם וּבְנֵיהֶם.
