In this video I narrate and demonstrate how to easily farm crawmerax in 5 minutes or less. This requires either a good pistol or sniper rifle as well as a rocket launcher. elemental effects don't hurt him and burst/helix launchers don't have the accuracy you need.
As far as I can tell this is the quickest way to kill him. 5 minutes from elevator to looting most of the time.
