For Boris Kodjoe, starring on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy spinoff is the culmination of a dream come true. “To have a job like this where you play make believe every single day, and you can be a firefighter, it should be illegal. I wanted to be a firefighter when I was five!” While his costar Jay Hayden didn’t necessarily share that childhood wish — he wanted to be an accountant — the two can both agree that the bond their team has onscreen to “fight the good fight and save lives,” is just as strong off: “To be in a position where you respect and love the people you work with is truly an amazing blessing.”
