Kentlee Battick, R.N., is the 2018 recipient of the Innovations in Clinical Care Award at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. The foundation of the neurosurgery team, Kentlee Battick, R.N., developed the VP shunt protocol checklist, which required several teams to coordinate care for children with hydrocephalus. This innovation decreased the infection rate and helped the hospital save over $500,000 per year for treatment of shunt infections.
