RECIPES
CREAMY ITALIAN DRESSING:
(From The Vegan 8 food blog. Below is my modified version of the recipe.)
Ingredients:
* ¾ cup raw cashews
* ½ cup + 2 Tablespoons water
* 3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
* 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
* 1 pitted Medjool date
* ½ teaspoon garlic powder
* ¼ teaspoon dry yellow mustard powder
* ¼ teaspoon paprika
* ½ teaspoon salt
* 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning (to be added after blending)
Instructions:
*Prep in advance: Soak cashews for about 4 hours, or overnight (or if low on time then boil water, remove pan from heat, add cashews and soak for 10 minutes. Sometimes I don’t soak them at all because I am using a high speed blender)
1) Add all ingredients to your blender or food processor and blend.
2) Pour into a bowl, add Italian seasoning, and mix.
CREAMY BALSAMIC DRESSING:
Ingredients:
* ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
* 3 Tablespoons tahini
* 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
* Juice of 1 whole lemon
* 1 pitted Medjool date
* ½ teaspoon garlic powder
* ½ teaspoon dried oregano
* ½ teaspoon dried basil
* 2 ½ Tablespoons water
Instructions:
1) Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend.
VERY BENEVOLENT CAESER DRESSING (Dr. McDougall Recipe):

Ingredients:
* 2 Tablespoons almond meal
* 3 garlic cloves or the equivalent of minced garlic
* 3 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
* 3 Tablespoons nutritional yeast
* 3 Tablespoons lemon juice
* 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
* ¼ cup water
Instructions:
1) Add all ingredients to a blender and blend.
(To whisk instead of blend: In a bowl combine the almond meal, garlic, mustard, and nutritional yeast to make a paste. Whisk in the remaining dressing ingredients.)
PEANUT DRESSING:
Ingredients:
* ½ Cup unsalted and unsweetened peanut butter
* ½ Cup water
* ¼ Cup rice vinegar
* 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
* 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (I used a frozen ginger cube)
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder or the equivalent of minced garlic
* 1 pitted medjool date
Instructions:
1) Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend.
***RANCH DRESSING:
(From ConnoisserusVeg food blog. Below is my modified version of the recipe.)
Ingredients:
* 1 cup raw cashews
* 1 cup water
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice, plus more for taste
* 1 teaspoon dried parsley
* 1 teaspoon onion powder
* ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
* 1 teaspoon salt
* ¼ teaspoon dried dill (add after blending)
Instructions:
1) Place cashews and 1 cup of water in a high speed blender or food processor, and blend until creamy. (Soak cashews for about 4 hours if you don’t have a high speed blender)
2) Add lemon juice, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt and blend.
3) Pour into a bowl, and add ¼ teaspoon dried dill. Mix.
***TAHINI DRESSING:
(From Detoxinista food blog. Below is my modified version of the recipe.)
Note that the measurements below have been updated from what is in the video so use the below recipe instead of the measurements in the video. That's for this tahini dressing only and not the other dressings. :)
Ingredients:
* ½ Cup tahini
* 3/4 Cup water
* 4 Tablespoons lemon juice
* 3 garlic cloves (or the equivalent of minced garlic)
* ½ teaspoon onion powder
* ¼ teaspoon salt
* Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1) Add all ingredients to a blender and blend.
