All India Trinamool Congress, also known as AITC, TMC and Trinamool Congress was founded by Mamata Banerjee on 1st January 1998. AITC has been in power in the state of West Bengal since 2011, with a motto of standing up for Maa-Mati-Manush (Mother-Motherland-People). AITC is currently the 3rd largest National Party in the country and has been sending members to the parliament regularly since 1999.
