A crane carrying a 16-tonne load has partially collapsed during the morning peak hour in Manhattan, New York City. At least 11 people sustained minor injuries including two firefighters, but no one was killed in the incident. Social media vision showed the crane fully engulfed in flames before it hit another building and plunged to the ground. The Fire Department of New York said the blaze broke out around 7:25am and the crane operator heroically - but unsuccessfully - tried to put out the flames before evacuating.
