Hi guys - for those of you who are new here, I'm Fatema or the Healthy Chemist. I'm showing you how to make quick and easy raspberry oat crumble bars. They taste absolutely delicious! Try making these as a dessert or a snack - but make sure you eat these in moderation!
Base:
1 cup oats
1 1/2 cups plain flour
1/3 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2/3 cup butter (you can use vegan spread or coconut oil)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Filling:
(If you want a thicker filling than mine, go ahead and double the quantity)
- 170g frozen raspberries (make sure you rinse the frozen raspberries and leave them in a colander before squeezing the remaining water out of the fruit)
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Preheat oven 350 degrees
Pack down 2/3 of the base mixture and bake for 15 mins
Pour your filling on top and even out
Then pour the rest of your crumble on top evenly and bake for another 25-30 mins
