@JaniceGunn In this video I am teaching my puppy position changes, the place board helps him to stay in place which is good as we do not want any forward or backward movement on the changes. Once his sit, down, stand and down from a sit were fluent then I could move them to the place board. To start with I want a default stand with his two front feet on the board. I will have a number of sessions teaching only this skill, I will reward lots just for two feet on and when I throw a treat backwards as a reset the goal is that he return to the board with his two front feet on it in a stand position. Once I achieve this then I can start to add in a position, one at a time over multiple sessions. In this video my puppy is still in the learning stages, the video ends with my more experienced dog whom executes some lovely changes with a very upbeat and positive attitude.
The board I am using in the video is 5" wide x 18" long - 1" High
