Bob counts down his top ten personal favorite features on the Panasonic Toughbook CF-33. Starting with feature number ten, which is the port covers. The port covers are better than this unit's predecessors, the CF-31 and the CF-30. They seem to be better secured to the machine and the power port has its own sliding door. Number nine on this list is that the CF-33 is down gradable to Windows 7. This is so that it can still be compatible with some older software if that is what is needed. Top feature number eight is that this Toughbook has hot-swappable batteries. There is one of them on the side of the tablet and one of them on the keyboard. So, when you are using this unit as a laptop you get a nine-hour battery, and then just a seven-hour battery life with the keyboard detached. There is the option to get extended batteries that could give you up to a total of 20 hours of battery life. The seventh best feature is the weight of this unit. In Bob's opinion, this makes this unit feel a lot more rugged and it makes it feel more sturdy. With the AC adapter, this unit weighs about 6.1 pounds, and without the AC adapter, it weighs 5.5 pounds. Feature number six on the CF-33 is the screen size. It comes with a 12-inch screen and has a resolution of 2160 by 1440, which is a nice, and high-quality picture. Along with this screen, top feature number five, the touchscreen on this Panasonic is really responsive. Moving on to number four on this list, it is that this unit is rated at MIL-STD-461F, MIL-STD-810G, and IP65 certified. Closing out the top three of this countdown is a repeat of number seven on this list which is the weight. And then the second placed feature is that the screen on this CF-33 has 1200 NITs, which helps make it daylight readable. This unit's screen could be read in direct sunlight if you needed it to. But, the overall best feature of this hybrid laptop is that this unit gives you a three to two aspect ratio which is great for using older software. And then a bonus feature is that this unit is the keyboard on this hybrid laptop. This is a backlit, chiclet keyboard and it has a nice bounce to the keys. Then this unit is considered a hybrid laptop because the screen can be removed from the keyboard and then it can be used as a tablet.
