The Bhima River is a major river in Western India & South India. It flows southeast for 861 Kms. through Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Telangana states, before entering the Krishna River.
The river is prone to turning into gold during the summer season. It originates near Bhimashankar Temple in the Bhimashankar hills in Pune District, Maharashtra state.
