Having low self-esteem can not only ruin your relationships with others but it can also hurt your career and life. Many people don't realise that raising their self-esteem doesn't have to be this unachievable goal they set for themselves. Self-esteem comes and goes but you're the only one who will be able to bring it back.
Amira Yasser shares her anecdotes about how she was able to gain her self-esteem back and the three steps that helped her achieve that goal.
From a young age, I knew that I wanted to leave an impact on the world. I always looked to the future and wanted to fast forward to all the exciting events in my life. I never learned to go through life 1 day at a time; I am either all in or totally out. Life is short, I am busy living my life to care about the past. Although I am only 17 years old, I have a lot of experience that helped me mature faster. My biggest inspiration is my sister. My biggest supporter is my mother. My biggest motivator is my grandmother. Everything I do is to make them proud. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
