An amazing 4 days of tramping in Kaweka Forest Park. I walk a loop from Te Puia, first staying at Makino Hut. The next day I walk to Ballard Hut via Mangaturutu and Venison Tops Huts. On day three I walk the main range to Middle Hill Hut, but go via Makahu Saddle, Kaweka Flats Biv and the historic Iron Whare. Finally my trip wraps up with natural hot pools at Mangatutu Campsite. Some gorgeous huts and incredible country.
