1. GRIP FRAME
The first reason on our list is the grip frame of an M&P pistol. Glock 19 and M&P 2.0 differ greatly in terms of the grip frame. While the generation 4 and 5 variants of the Glock 19 feature removable back straps that you can add to the grip frame to make it slightly larger and increase your reach. The M&P 2.0 can also change grip as it comes with three different sizes of backstrap - so that makes it possible for you to change trigger reach as you deem fit even much more than a Glock.
Now that you know both handguns allow you to change trigger reach, one thing we love about the M&P and I'm sure you will too is how excellently these back straps install.
2. SLIDE
The M&P has a stainless steel slide that's coated with the S&W's Armornite finish. This quality finish protects the gun against rust and corrosion, so you don’t need to worry about the slide losing its shine. The front serrations of the M&P are cut right along the bottom of the handgun slide to make it easy to press check the pistol with your hand below it. The rear of the slide also has serrations that are far better than that in the Glock. The rear serrations are better designed to provide a better grip on the back of the side for better functioning.
3. AESTHETICS
The M&P pistol is a much better option in terms of aesthetics than the Glock. The new M&P handgun line has excellent aesthetics with a Melonite blackened stainless steel, durable polymer frame, and slide assembly. It's well-proportioned with nice add-ons that the Glock lacks. The Glock is a no-frills handgun. Although most people claim to prefer guns that function well and are not so focused on their aesthetics. There are also people that consider the aesthetics of a gun. I'm sure we will all prefer the attractive, powerful, and excellent quality M&P handgun over a simple-looking pistol.
4. SAFETY
This is also one of the reasons why M&P is better than Glock. The Glock 19 model doesn't come with safety but that's not the case for the M&P 2.0 variants. It has a quality and well-designed ambidextrous thumb safety that's similar to 1911-style safety. I've to say that the manufacturing company did a great job designing the safeties for the M&P 2.0 series. One can easily use it to ride the thumb on it to slightly assist when controlling the recoil of the pistol. When it comes to the design of the M&P safety there are only a handful of handguns that can match it, which makes it a top choice.
5. TRIGGER
M&P has been thoughtful when it comes to thinking of how to improve their handgun models to be much better than the older models. Because this is the only reason for the M&P 2.0 trigger design and mechanism. The trigger is designed to be curved, it also features a hinged pin midway between the tip and top of the trigger. The M&P 2.0 is a double-action striker who fires the gun as the trigger cocks the gun. As the trigger moves to the back, the striker is cocked to the remaining 2% and then released to fire a round. After firing the round and the action cycles, the striker is prepped to about 98%.
6. SHOOTING
I can't tell you the different reasons why an M&P is better than a Glock without comparing both of the guns shooting. Once you handle the M&P, you will immediately fall in love shooting with it because the gun functions seamlessly with no failures to eject, fire, or feed. The gun shoots well from the start but by giving yourself a little time to adjust to it, the shooting gets even much better. Asides from shooting fast it also cycles extremely fast. I enjoy the amount of control l get with this pistol and how fast I can get back on my target using the M&P 2.0.
7. SIGHTS
Lastly, when it comes to sights, M&P 2.0 can't be put aside. It's equipped with steel 3-dot sights dovetailed into the stainless steel slide of the handgun. While the front sight is bright white in a square-shaped sight post to make it easier to pick up sight when shooting fast. The rear sight helps get rid of glare and makes the white dots pop out more. On the other hand, the Glock comes with plastic spot fillers. It's also possible for you to mount red dots to the gun as the 2.0 series model has an optic mounting solution.
