Welcome to VELICIOUS, the home of Asian vegan food made delicious. This webisode features a dish suitable for Chinese New Year: Shark's FUN Soup. It's shark's fin soup without the shark's fin!

Cooking time: 30 mins
Serves: 5 - 6
Ingredients:
1.5 litres shitake mushroom soaking liquid
1 cup konnyaku jelly cut into strips or shirataki noodles*
1 packet enoki mushrooms, cut into halves
2/3 cup dehydrated shitake mushrooms, soaked and thinly sliced
3/4 cup black fungus, soaked and thinly sliced
200g firm tofu, thinly sliced
For soup base:
3 tsp brown rice vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp molasses
2 tsp salt
6 tbsp cornstarch disolved in 4 tbsp water
*shirataki noodles need to be drained and washed, boiled for 2-3 minutes, and then pan-fried for a few minutes to remove any unpleasant odours. Don't skip this step or risk taking out the 'fun' from the Shark's FUN soup.
