In Thee Rejoiceth (Turchaninoff- from Liturgy of St.Basil)
The Virgin Mary prophesied, "All generation shall call me blessed." The Orthodox Church continues to honor the Virgin Mary across the ages. She is called the Theotokos, that is, the one who bore God. One may see how verses that honor the beloved mother of Christ also preserve the great Mystery of the identity of Christ Himself as truly God and truly human.
