This week, Waves unexpectedly switched from offering perpetual licenses for their plugins to a subscription-only model. I don't have a problem with that going forward, but they have decided not to offer an upgrade path for existing perpetual licenses, meaning I can't rely on the $2,000 worth of plugins I have bought having a long-term future.
