If your Windows 10 comes with BitLocker, BitLocker is still the preferred method to set a password on a USB flash drive.
But if your Windows 10 doesn’t have BitLocker, a USB encryption tool like iSumsoft USBCode is your best option. [ Ссылка ]
Note: After iSumsoft USBCode has finished encrypting and locking the USB drive, when you open the USB drive, you will find that it is empty and you can’t see any data. This because all the data is stored in an encrypted and hidden directory on the USB drive that cannot be directly access by the user. The USB data is visible and accessible once the USB drive is unlocked.
When a USB drive is encrypted with a password, every time you unplug it from the computer, it automatically locks up. Then, every time you plug the USB drive into a computer, you need to unlock it with the correct password before you can access the data on it.
