Trisha Roselle: Healing Wounds Caused by Sexual Sin & Ungodly Soul Ties (1 Corinthians 6:16)
Trisha draws on her long experience as a deliverance minister to teach on freedom from sexual sin and soul ties. Quotes: “God sees the end from the beginning. He never wants us to think we're stuck, there's no hope, there's no life, and there's nothing going for me - that's a lie. God is saying, “I came to set you free and give you an abundant life. We war from that place of victory. He doesn't want us to have a victim mindset. There are many born again Christians that are ministering to those who are trapped in the sex trade.”
Be blessed.
Remember: you have been “blessed to be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2)

I want to illustrate what happens with a soul tie. Marianne and Eddie, would you please come up? So, we're going to pretend that Marianne and Eddie are getting engaged. When a couple gets engaged we want to have some kind of marital counseling. My husband would talk to Eddie and I would talk to Marianne. We'll get to a point where we discuss fornication.
Eddie then tells Peter that he had had sex with women prior to marriage - let's just say it was two women. So, can we have two women come up here please. Eddie put your arm out and could you guys hold his hand. We find out that these two girls had relations with other people.
Now we're getting the picture here of what's all involved here. We're bringing a lot of this baggage into the relationship. I next find out from Marianne that she had two sexual relationships outside of marriage. I need four more men to come up her. You get the picture here of now, Marianne and Eddie want to get joined together, but we have all these that are coming into the marriage with them. Unless they're dealt with, we have all these involved in their marriage bed.
How many times have we heard people say, we were great until we got married? Because of the spiritual implications created by this dynamic. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians that we're not to be ignorant of his devices. We can pray, repent and we get a cleansing, and we sever these ties. Repentance is necessary. You confess it. We pray to cut and sever the ungodly soul tie. We name them by names of the different people you were involved with. You cut and sever this ungodly soul ties. We call back the fragments of our soul to make us whole again, and we ask the Lord to reassemble those fragments.
If we're in a ministry session, then we take authority over any spirits that could still could be there and we command it to go. That brings tremendous freedom. Jesus Christ died on the cross and he wants us to live a happy abundant life.
How many suicides were caused by the devastation that follows in the wake of sexual sins? But we can also share marvelous stories of deliverance and freedom. God sees the end from the beginning. He never wants us to think we're stuck, there's no hope, there's no life, and there's nothing going for me - that's a lie. God is saying, “I came to set you free and give you an abundant life. We war from that place of victory. He doesn't want us to have a victim mindset. There are many born again Christians that are ministering to those who are trapped in the sex trade.
Jesus wants us to be the light and be bold to tell people we have the answer. I just want to encourage you that if you've never prayed through the prayers on your handout, you can start by renouncing soul ties. You need to pray through that or make an appointment and we can pray with you.
Bill Sudduth’s wife Janet once spoke on restoring our innocence. I want to really encourage anybody that you do not have to live with condemnation from past mistakes. Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ.” 1 John 1:8-9, “If we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of inequity.”
I encourage everybody to watch the YouTube video Joyce Meyer called “One Life,” which is her testimony of how she was sexually abused by her father for years while she was in high school. And yet, “What the devil meant for evil God turned around for good,” because she was able to get the supernatural strength to forgive her father, lead him to the Lord and baptize him. She was even able to even kiss him on the cheek and not feel reviled by him. That is a picture of supernatural grace. But God doesn't show favorites, so if he did it for Joyce Meyer, he can do it for us - and He does do it for us.
