This was my very first stage ever. Cold, windy, gun I had never fired before! Fun stuff though, and I obviously went slow and deliberate. The rules were to shoot the first target while moving, and that target must FALL over (was backed by steel) in order to count (else penalty applies). Folks had a hard time with that (as did I). Then, hit two targets while under barrel cover, or getting to it. Shooting the steel popper (fall-over) would cause the moving target-with-hostage to move. Careful! Don't want to run out of ammo right then! So, I chose a "tactical reload," meaning I dropped my mag and reloaded BEFORE hitting the popper. Problem was, I did that wrong--tactical requires me to RETAIN the mag on my body but I dropped it like it was empty (called an "emergency reload") and I was penalized heavily for that. Oh well, total rookie. My only claim to fame here: I put a head shot on that moving guy. Right in the left eyebrow, neutralized. It wasn't until the last stage of the day (way after this) that we determined that I'm indeed left-handed. So there--I shot this weak-handed!
