#realism #alternatehistory #HowtoAltHist
Recently in the Alternate History Community, I have noticed a lot of people talking about how they want to make their Alternate Histories "Realistic". Somehow inferring that Realism makes an alternate history better, or that if an Alternate History isn't Realistic or designed to entertain, it's Artificial History.
Since I have had several people asking me for my advice on Alternate History, and I have the confidence to display that I know what I am talking about, I have put together this video to show two things. First, how to pick a good Point of Divergence, and Secondly, argue AGAINST realism in Alternate History!
Sound confusing? I hope that you will watch this video and find out exactly what I mean!
FAQ:
Q: What programs do you use to create these videos?
A: I use QBam as a base map with references linked below, create scenes with Photoshop, use the assets in After effects to animate them and add the finishing touches with Premiere Pro!
