Before the UN General Assembly gave the #Palestinian Authority the powers and rights of a UN member state, Israel’s UN ambassador shredded a copy of the UN Charter. Palestinian ambassador Riyad Mansour insisted #Palestine statehood was ‘an inherent right” and “not up for negotiation”, while a UN spokesman tried to play down the events.
