Spanish Bowline - Very Fast and Easy Way to Tie the Spanish Bowline
I really have to thank Alan Lee for demonstrating the quick of of tying the Spanish Bowline. I have in the past been a little reluctant to show how this style of Bowline is tied, mainly due to the fact that most variation are a little complicated. ABoK: 202. When a carpenter slings a ladder, he generally uses a Sheepshank Knot over the ends of each side post. For the same purpose, a sailor would use a Spanish Bowline, but he would have no ladder unless he were hauled out in dry-dock.
