How to prepare History for SSC ? | Railway | PET | Best Coaching in Gorakhpur | 1Dayers

History is a very vast subject and one cannot expect to cover the whole syllabus easily.
There are three sections in history:-
1) Ancient History
2) Medieval history
3) Modern History

Start preparing Modern History first, as most of the questions in many Exams come from this section. Congress sessions, important personalities, national movement, socio-religious movement, viceroys, etc.

Coming to Medieval History: Don't try to read it in an organized manner. Analyze previous years papers and try to understand the important sections. Eg, Delhi Sultanate, Important Rulers, Important construction and their locations, important battles, important travelers, Important books that were written and their authors etc. Try to learn the timelines of events.

Ancient History: If you have enough time left after the revision and practicing mocks, study this section and just practice previous years papers questions and that will be enough.
