The Shonan Monorail runs 6.6 kilometers (4.1 miles) from Ofuna to Shonan-Enoshima, flying through the city streets and residential housing at a whopping top speed of 75 km/h (about 50 mph), faster than any suspension monorail in the world. Residents of Japan often describe the Shonan Monorail like riding a rollercoaster.
