Looking for your big mindset shift for entrepreneurial success? Jennifer Twardowski said it best in Huffington Post, we have " to consciously choose to take personal responsibility for ourselves in every single situation." I totally agree and have invested a lot into my mindset shif for entrepreneurial success. There are so many self development books, motivational coaches, and endless info products at your fingertips. Why doesn't it seem to be enough...Why do you continue to struggle in your business? You'll certainly hear more about that in future videos of this Mindset Shift for Entrepreneurial Success series.
For now, the simple answer is that your business is an extension of you. Therefore, shifting your entrepreneurial mindset requires you to shift your personal mindset. One of my mentors often says you have to change your habits to change your business results. Well yes that makes perfect sense, so where do you start? That was the question in my mind a little over a year ago, when I met the author of a book that focused on being paid what I was worth.
At the time I met this author, I was just like you...I was going from digital course to digital course, listening to endless podcasts, attending countless "guru" webinars, and investing in cookie cutter coaching opportunities that just were not working. Sound familiar? If so, I understand and you are not alone. You see, I was looking outside of myself for the answer, and quite honestly that was my fault. I bought into the society messages and negative self talk that told me I was not enough or I didn't know enough. You see, I was struggling to make offers for my business...Asking for the sale almost paralyzed me. Do you know what I mean?
So when I met this author who asked me if I was paid what I am worth, I obviously answered the question with a big NO! The following question, why not, haunted me for days. What started off as an intention to help me grow my business by crushing what I saw as my big problem blocks, turned into a truly life changing journey. I came to realize that payment was an energy exchange that isn't limited to currency and worth starts within.
Where do you start? You have to start with a commitment to shifting your personal worth. Trust me, that explodes the abundance train in your life, even in your business. Transformational speaker, Lisa Nichols says, you have to change your mental zip code, and I totally agree. Start here:
