In this lesson, we’ll dig into diminished 7th chords. How to build them, what’s the theory, chord degrees, enharmonic intervals and more. Then we’ll understand why there are only 3 dim 7th chords that you can play and how dim7 chords can be inversions of each other - being symmetrical chords. Lots of graphics and chord diagrams on screen, all the dim7 chord shapes you need on guitar are covered in this video. Lastly, we’ll look into the relationship between dim7 chords and dominant 7th b9 chords (secondary diminished 7th chord substitution).
