Mexico's Popocatepetl volcano has erupted, spewing plumes of smoke and gas high into the sky.
Active for more than a year, the huge volcano is on phase two alert with authorities enforcing a protection radius around its crater.
With Popocatepetl just 40 miles from Mexico City's bustling international airport, ash clouds have caused chaos in the capital's skies with airlines temporarily suspending flights earlier this week. Report by Sophie Foster.
