Chain lakes loop trail is a six-ish mile loop with six lakes in the Mt Baker Wilderness area. It offers some great alpine lake trout fishing. The hike was absolutely amazingly beautiful! I skipped the first small lake, fished the second lake then took off up the trail in hopes of better alpine lake trout fishing at the bigger three lakes. Caught a few fish there but there were SO MANY PEOPLE that fishing was basically impossible. The hike out around the backside of the table top mountain offered some spectacular views of the surrounding mountings.
