This is a modern Finnish hymn, written by Pekka Simojoki in 1982, number 960 in the Finnish hymnbook.
I have two Dreadbox Nyx v1 polychained into one four voice synth. Today I’m playing the melody on the Nyx with the Keystep (apart from the intro where the Nyx does the drone). The Dreadbox Abyss is playing chords, the rhythm coming from the lfos (apart from the intro where the Abyss takes the melody). As I listen back to this I realize what I call the ”intro” goes on for about halfway through the track, and what I think of as ”the main part” starts around 2:22.
It’s been snowing all day. After last week’s brief Spring, looks like we’re back in the middle of Winter.
