This splendid drum fanfare is called 420 Byng Street. It is a memorial to two pipers associated with the band who died in a tragic road accident in 1993. The Simon Fraser's junior band, Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band, is also named after them.
This was the first time I heard a marching tom set, such a prominent feature of American marching bands, being used with a pipe band.
Best listened to with good earphones.
