In this video, Maggie and I head off to the woods to carve a walking stick. We find a lovely sunny spot amongst the stands of hazel and settle down for a couple of hours of pure peaceful bliss! Hazel is such a versatile material for bushcraft and woodland craft, having many, many uses and being strong and flexible is ideal for walking sticks, thumb sticks and staffs.
