In today’s video we are going to discuss the extremely popular dividend ETF SCHD. This ETF has a large following like many other areas in finance, but for good reason. In the past decade it has matched, and even sometimes outperformed the investment standard, S&P500. However, in the past year, and especially in the beginning of 2023… SCHD is severely underperforming not only the S&P500, but the Nasdaq and many other indexes as well. In this video I will give a breakdown of what makes SCHD such a strong candidate for an investment for anyone of any age, the holdings, and then we will go into some potential risks that SCHD faces in 2023 and the upcoming years, along with what other investment options may outperform in the near future.
