Border Archery of Scotland Hex 8 Prototypes vs Hex 8 Production limbs. 45# medium limbs on a 19" Covert Hunter riser. Hex 8 Prototypes showed a drop in weight at 25-26" which explains the pronounced "let-off" feel. The finalized version of the Hex 8's tamed this down a bit and smoothed it out. No "let-off" however there is 0 gain in draw weight at 25,26,27, and 28" draw. Insane. I call this Border Archery Sorcery/Magic.
The folks over there are pushing the boundaries with their super recurves and continue to be on the forefront of this niche market.

Strings have wool silencers on them.
Bonus, we did some testing on Mykes Border Hex 7.5 long limbs, 52# on a Border Tempest Riser.
Turners Outdoorsmen Fountain Valley has stepped up their archery department. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for an archery shop in OC. Compound to traditional gear, arrows, etc. Last minute string for your recurve? They've got them here premade.
