1964 was an incredible year for Beatles fans, particularly in America. But it was also a weird, wacky and confusing time for those fans! Not only were there several releases featuring actual Beatles music on several different labels, but there were even more albums released to "Capitol-ize" on the mania. (See what we did there!) Referred to as 'Beatles exploitation' or 'covers' albums, these releases were simply a money grab for wanna-be entrepreneurs who thought they could make a quick buck. Buyers of these albums were often duped into thinking that they actually contained music by the Fabs, usually because of deceptive album covers, song titles and descriptions of the content. In this fun and informative episode, the Fab 4 Free 4 All are joined by historian Bob Koenig, who has meticulously researched this often overlooked part of Beatlemania.
