With the introduction of the 6mm ARC from Hornady I have been wondering how it’s performance stacks up against other AR15 sized cartridges. The 224 Valkyrie has been a good option for launching heavy 22 cal bullets down range and smacking steel out to 1,300 yards which I have done. However a good 6mm option in the AR15 has been severely lacking. The Hornady 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge has solved this and offers very impressive performance from the small lightweight package while still bringing the heat on target. In this comparison I compare them for factory ammunition performance, velocities, group size and test each at 100, 310, and 825 yards!
