Fire Rages in Santa Fe Springs After Truck Crashes Into Pole
CREWS BATTLE MASSIVE FIRE AT MULTIPLE COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS IN SANTA FE SPRINGS
A fire broke out in Santa Fe Springs Monday after a utility truck crashed into a pole, sending thick black smoke barreling into the sky and consuming multiple buildings in minutes.
Three cars parked nearby caught fire shortly after the blaze began spreading from building to building.

The two-alarm fire began burning in the industrial area at 12235 Los Nietos Road around 2:30 p.m. The Multi-Link Corporation building was used as a plastics recycling firm.
A utility truck was spotted by NewsChopper4 next to a sheared hydrant and damaged pole.
Whittier police said the crash started the fire after the truck slammed into a power pole, sending live wires to the ground. At least three buildings had caught fire by 3:15 p.m.
A viewer told NBC4 the smoke could be seen as far as Fullerton.
SANTA FE SPRINGS (CBSLA.com) — A fast-burning structure fire in Santa Fe Springs Monday forced the evacuation of several businesses.
Fire crews responded to the blaze along Los Nietos Rd. shortly before 3 p.m. The 13200 block of Los Nietos was closed as fire crews battled the blaze.
The burning structure appeared to be a plastic recycling facility operated by Multi-Link International Corp., according to the company’s website.
The blaze began when a car crashed into a nearby power line, police said.
