Nashville guitar legend, Grand Ole Opry staple, and Benson's own Jimmy Capps is in town! Today (5-10-19), we followed Mr. Capps around for an interview with Scott Mason, the WRAL Tar Heel Traveler, at the Benson Museum of Local History.
He told Mr. Mason several stories and our cameras were rolling too — we caught this “behind the scenes” footage of how Mr. Capps auditioned to be a guitar player for The Louvin Brothers.
In addition, Mr. Capps loaned one of his personal guitars to the Benson Museum for its collection. The instrument has a fascinating story behind it as well — it was in the flood at the Grand Ole Opry in 2010!
