Go and look at the work that you’ve done in the previous 90 days.
What was the most profitable? 💶
What was the least profitable?😢
Take note.
So when the phone rings and someone says, ‘Can you do a job?’
But it’s the least profitable work, you have to either -
🔴 A)Charge more
Or
🔴 B) Tell people that you don’t do that work anymore.
You need to build an advertising campaign that only advertises your most profitable work.
Let’s say you’re a carpenter. 🔨
You did your past job analysis and you have learned that roof work is your most profitable work and second fixes are your least profitable.
You must advertise yourself as a roof builder. You are a specialist when it comes to roof work.
It’s not to say that you won’t do anything in the bottom 20 to 60% of the profitability scale.
You can but you won’t advertise for it.
It’s vital for every self-employed tradesman to develop the discipline to say no to jobs that aren’t worth the bother ❌
And the ability to say yes to the jobs that are the most profitable ✅
