Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, accused of running one of the world's biggest illegal drug business, will go on trial in the United States on Monday.
Born into poverty in the mountains of Sinaloa, El Chapo headed the powerful drug cartel for years, amassing a fortune and overseeing an illicit empire with links around the globe.
