Through the First Person program, Holocaust survivors have the opportunity to share their remarkable personal stories of hope, tragedy, and survival with thousands of visitors at the Museum. This program was recorded on May 16, 2018. It features David Bayer, who was born in Kozienice, Poland, on September 27, 1922. David was a prisoner in the Auschwitz camp system until he escaped from a death march and was liberated by Soviet soldiers. This program's host is Suzy Snyder, curator with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
