When I started my solicitor’s practice in 2011 I had a problem.
I needed to get clients, and fast. I didn’t have the time to take the traditional route to generating leads and clients. I had no contacts, no old school ties that might give me a leg up.
I did not have the time to join the local chamber of commerce or other networking groups that might help.
But I learned internet/digital/online marketing.
I discovered content marketing, delivering value in advance. Here I made this, you might find it useful. “This” was a blog post or a video.
I learned how to blog. I learned how to make videos. I learned about email marketing, social media marketing, Facebook advertising, YouTube advertising.
I learned about influence. The psychology of Persuasion
Copywriting.
I gave myself an education in digital marketing. And have been relentlessly learning since 2009 when I published my first blog post on my website BusinessAndLegal.ie
I published my first video on YouTube on Patrick’s Day 2011.
Now, I have over 6,000 YouTube subscribers to my channel
My business pages have over 30,000 fans on Facebook
I have over 8,000 email subscribers.
Large quantities of traffic on a daily basis to my websites-I have a number. Google analytics shows 13,000 users to 2 sites in the last 7 days.
I have built my solicitor’s practice using digital marketing.
Because of this experience, and because of my experience as a business owner in a wide range of industries-retailing, convenience stores, filling stations, licenced trade, property investment, construction, since December 1986
And because of my legal training I believe I can offer a unique perspective and insight for small business owners, start ups, entrepreneurs, anyone thinking about starting their own business.
