Well this one was always going to come around sooner or later, so let's dig into it. Coding is a bit of a loaded term, but it's not inherently negative. Or at least it doesn't have to be. But it is a thing that happens: characters are given traits which correspond with certain archetypes and "code" them in certain ways, but it racially, religiously, or (as we'll discuss today) to a certain sexuality.
