This video could be useful if you have 1 or 2 problem radiators on your heating system that are not heating up (Generally if it is the TRV sticking you will get heat at the pipe to the valve but not beyond.
Steps:
1- Remove the Thermostatic valve head revealing the pin (Most of them have a collar that you unscrew counter clockwise)
2- Hit the pin gently with a hammer until you feel the pin release (Take care not to hit it at an angle and damage the pin)
3- Put the Thermostatic valve head back on turning clockwise
4- Give yourself a pat on the back, you just saved a callout fee
If your problem persists, you may have a blockage in the pipework due to poor water quality. This is more common in older conventional systems with a hot water cylinder and header tank in the loft but can still happen if you have a combi boiler or sealed system.
If this is the case, consult a professional as you may need a powerflush on your heating system.
If you have the system flushed out, ensure the tank in the loft is cleaned out and inhibitor is put into the system once filled back up.
