The Fillmore East was rock promoter Bill Graham's rock venue on Second Avenue near East 6th Street in the Lower East Side neighborhood, now called the East Village neighborhood of the borough of Manhattan of New York City. IT WAS ONLY OPEN FOR 3 years, 3 months, and 19 days, but in that short time the Fillmore East made an indelible mark on New York’s rock scene in the 1960s.
