Team Divine Spirits went out to hike the High Sierra Trail from Crescent Meadows to Whitney Portal on a 7-day backpacking hike. On day 4 a new fire started at Yosemite that filled the entire Sierra with smoke. As there are no exit points on the High Sierra Trail we hiked the remaining distance in 2 days what we had planned for 4 days. It’s amazing how the mind, body co-ordination can get anything done!

Hikers backpack for many reasons. Few reasons are endurance, meditation, serenity, immunity booster, and living in nature. I love backpacking as it gives value in daily life that we take for granted like a warm shower, clean clothes, comfort bed and brings the true perspective of being a minimalist. I recommend all you to try backpacking. You can start with 2-day backpacking first :)

We all tested COVID -ve 3 weeks before the hike and stayed indoors till the hike. 2 of us tested COVID -ve after the hike and no one had any COVID symptoms. We made sure we are safe and we keep other hikers safe.
