The grandmother and uncle of the primary suspect in the New Zealand mosque shootings said Sunday they were left "gobsmacked" on learning he was allegedly responsible for the attacks which killed 50 in Christchurch.
They said they were "so sorry for the families over there" and that "shattered" is the word to describe how they feel.
The suspect's grandmother also said he had "changed completely" after travelling overseas.
