German brand’s all-new battery-powered compact SUV will bring loads of tech and relatively sharp pricing 👉 Full Review:
When the all-new 2024 BMW iX2 arrives in Australia next February it won’t be cheap, but it will be priced from under the luxury car tax threshold from $82,900 plus on-road costs.
What’s more, the premium dual-motor BMW iX2 xDrive30 flagship you see here will also be LCT-free at $85,700 plus ORCs, and both versions of the first battery-powered BMW X2 will bring plenty of tech and a bold new design inside and out.
Based on the same CLAR platform as the second-generation petrol-powered BMW X2, the first battery-electric iX2 develops more power and torque than its most direct rival, the Mercedes-Benz EQA.
Taller, longer and wider than the first-generation BMW X2, the new EV features more autonomous driving and parking systems than any of its rivals, according to BMW, and also has inbuilt video games. Watch out Tesla!
We’ve got up close and personal with the first example of the new top-spec iX2 xDrive30 to arrive in Australia and it’s charged with gaining a foothold in the increasingly lucrative small electric luxury SUV segment – and maybe kick some sand in the eyes of the hotly-anticipated Audi Q4 e-tron.
