The wait for vaccines is over! After taking so many lives, Covid-19 has finally met it's match in the form of many vaccines. But are vaccines safe for cancer patients?

According to the specialist, no early signals of adverse effects of the vaccine on cancer patients have been observed yet, but multiple trials are underway.
All cancer patients should get the vaccine, especially patients with solid cancers. Patients with blood cancer, if they are getting chemotherapy, should wait till their WBC levels have recovered.
The doctor also says that patients who've gotten a bone marrow transplant should also wait for at least 3 months before taking the vaccine, and patients who've gone through breast cancer surgery shouldn't take the vaccine on the same arm. Other than that, there are no extraordinary safety concerns for cancer patients concerning the vaccine. No one vaccine is better than the other but Covishield might be preferred for patients with extremely low immunity.
Lastly, while the efficacy of the vaccine can be low in certain patients, something is better than nothing.
